ALEKSANDRA KARASINSKA

The Game, oil on canvas, 40 x 40”, 2022

Depicting a pool game soirée, the painting itself is a game of perception where reality shifts beneath prolonged observation. Like first nights in an unfamiliar city, each glance reveals new peculiarities – a fever dream where the past self dissolves into the vertigo of self-introduction. In rooms full of strangers, identity becomes a fluid performance, an empty canvas waiting to be filled with whatever version of yourself you choose to present. Here, in this state of perpetual discovery, the self remains undefined, intoxicated by the disorienting freedom of becoming anyone.
